The Eastern Plaza was part of the redevelopment of the Melbourne Tennis Centre this was one of the first stages to be completed. The Eastern Plaza incorporates 8 new indoor courts with a unique design of exposed banana trusses, the upgrade also included 8 outdoor courts an elite training area and a upgrade of general public areas.
